Guidelines to upload large file in One Drive for Business
Option 1
- Go to your One Drive.
- Upload the file into the One Drive. It would be recommended to create Folder so that we can directly share the folder with other people.
3. Share the file/folder with the people who should be able to access it. Click on the “dot” as per screenshot and then click “Manage Access”.
4. Click on “Start Sharing”.
5. Enter the user email ID who is required to access the folder. Please select the option whether other people “Can Edit” or “Can view” the folder. Then click on “Send” button.
6. Others should receive the shared link to access the folder.
Option 2
1. When the file attached in the outlook is too large and exceeded the maximum limit, the user will be given the option on how they want to share the file. Choose the “Upload and share as a OneDrive link”.
2. When the file has been uploaded to the One Drive, a link will automatically created on the email compose. Right click on the link. Then, select the option on Step 2 as per screenshot.
3. Configure the sharing setting. Select the option "Recipients of this message" where only the recipient will be able to open the link that has been shared. Then, select whether the recipient able to "Edit" or "View" on the file that has been shared. Then, click "Apply".
4. Then, you may send the compose email as per usual.
