Modified on Wed, 22 Mar, 2023 at 5:14 PM

  1. Log in to your Outlook online account.
  2. Click on the "Inbox" folder in the left-hand navigation panel to view your emails.
  3. Select the emails that you want to delete by clicking the checkbox next to each message. You can select multiple emails at once by holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while clicking on each message.
  4. To delete the selected emails, click on the "Delete" button at the top of the page. Alternatively, you can right-click on the selected emails and choose "Delete" from the context menu.
  5. If you want to delete all emails in a specific folder, such as your "Junk Email" or "Deleted Items" folders, you can click on the folder in the left-hand navigation panel to view its contents, then use the same steps to select and delete the emails.
  6. To delete emails in bulk, you can use the "Sweep" feature in Outlook. This allows you to automatically delete emails based on certain criteria, such as all emails older than a certain date or all emails from a specific sender. To use Sweep, select the emails you want to delete, then click on the "Sweep" button at the top of the page and choose the desired option from the dropdown menu.
  7. Finally, to prevent unnecessary emails from cluttering your inbox in the future, you can set up filters and rules in Outlook to automatically delete or move certain types of messages. To do this, click on the "Settings" gear icon in the top-right corner of the page, then choose "View all Outlook settings" and go to the "Rules" section. From there, you can create new rules to filter and manage your emails.

By following these steps, you can quickly and easily delete unnecessary emails from your Outlook online account and keep your inbox organized and clutter free.
